My plastic(of course) haz/flash button broke off.you tube shows how to remove/replace.my question is has anyone replaced one on a 95 and is it the same switch as 98-2000?i'm talking about the 3" long X1/2 wide piece that comes out the top of column with needle nose pliers

They are the same switch as the trucks with the same style interior with the same body, made from 95-98. Also made longer in the heavier trucks. (Up til 2001)

Thanks I can get one for 15 bucks at o-Reilly's .the dealer wanted 65 but I wasn't sure it was the right one

I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing now. To the best of my knowledge, and I've done it a couple times, the red button on top of the column can't be replaced separately. It's part of the turn signal/cruise control/wiper, etc multi switch, which is replaced as an assembly, and it's certainly no $15 part.

Just did replace it with what is called a hazard flash repair kit from o Reilly's and the 1998 year part DID fit on my 95.i can give you the part no. If you like
