has anyone seen the trick of checking 100 dollar bills with a paper clip I was amazed you could weave it thru it

Spent some time searching for this trick online. Have found out more than I bargained for, but nothing about using paper clips -- other than a magic trick where you fold a bill (ANY bill) into a Z, then push a paper clip down on each end a certain way. Pull the ends of the bill apart and the paper clips link together.

Having a $100 bill in my pocket today is the equivalent to having a $20 bill in my pocket back when I was first married.

True, I remember in the 3rd grade our teacher got a $100 bill from her husband for her birthday and proudly showed all of us...I know that was the first one I had ever seen. That was quite the gift back in '66.

A buddy of mine once got a $500 bill in some dealings. They're kinda like $2 bills. They're legit, but there aren't too many around. Thousand dollar bills are more common.

Any way, this buddy of mine went to a race at Talladega, and went to a bank in the small town of Talladega to break the $500 bill for smaller bills. He went into the bank and asked the cashier to break it into smaller bills. The cashier took off for the rear of the bank and the other bank employees gathered around her. My buddy became afraid there was something wrong.

Upshot was, no one in the bank had seen a $500 bill before. The cashier gave my pal smaller bills, and they were still looking at the $500 bill when he left.

$500 bill in average condition is worth $575 to collectors. Last one I saw in circulation was 1955 & they were rare then.

easy start at the bottom of a 100 dollar bill in the blue strip there is a slot to weave a paper clip in all the way up the bill let me know if you find it
