Yet another What Is It Worth?

I had a guy offer me an early 1930's John Deere GP. He said it depends on what his dad says. It has been sitting in the fence row for 40+ years. It does look complete. I don't know much about it - I'm pretty allergic to green paint. What would something like that be worth? I forgot my phone, so no photos.....

With no picture its hard to know what its worth..If its 100% complete, has good sheet metal, and is on steel wheels it would easily bring $1000-1500 in my area....If its rough, has parts missing, and is on rubber probably $500-1000..I've seen restored ones on rubber bring $4,000..

No, didn't know there WAS anything by Mill Grove! I HOPE to stop by tomorrow and take a few photos. The fuel tank has some holes in it, it's on full steel, the fenders look to be in pretty good shape.....hope to know more soon.

LOL, that'd be a guy like me! I've always
liked the looks of a Deere GP, but I most
certainly don't need another project, that's
for sure...

Dad had one of those. He managed to unload it during the tractor shortage in WWII.

Run, Forest, RUN!

My father had a 1930 GP. We sold it to our JD dealer salesman. He made it look like new. He sold it for $4700.00. Boy, I hand started that tractor for years.

. Back in 1980 I bought a GP Potato up in Maine It was a hedge row find and was complete but rusted to the point that Sweet Feet would have falling in love with it. I sold it to a guy in Illinois for 4500 should have waited and got got a big check for retirement. Too soon Old too latte Smart. I wonder how many of the GP Potatoes were made ?0 and thought I was going to be rich. How stupid If I had kept it until I retired I

Would love to have had some of them, Always did like the 2 cylinder gas Deeres, Had 5 of them. No better tractor on the market when new.
