How do they know it??????????

Couple of days ago, I got a check in the mail for $2400 for the payoff from a short term investment I'd made.

Now, between an alternator and the A/C system, I have to spend $900 on my wife's Chrysler T&C.

How the heck do vehicles know when you come into a bit of extra money?

If the system was failing to synchronize the debit and positive cash flow, you would be like the remainder of humanity, panicking to find that cash. Jim

Goose I was hoping you could give me an answer to that question. Wednesday morning I am going to pick up our van after $2500 in repairs. Ironically that is what I am being paid for fixing a guy's tractor. Oh well, at least the cash flow is balancing out.

I don't know but they do it like clockwork. Just sold one pickup & the other one needed repairs for twice what the first pickup had sold for.

I try to spend it before my vehicles discover I have a few extra bucks. Made the mistake of driving my pickup out to the mail box one day when the weather was ickey. Cost me a $1,700.00 transmission.

The same way they know the warranty has run out!

Or, if you are a half full type of person, you would say: Wow, I have this big bill and the money to pay it just suddenly comes in.

I know the pain. Replaced the front wheel bearings on my car. When the mechanic was on the test drive of the new bearing a lifter in the engine decided to expire. My tax return was mostly spent on repairing the car.
