Bent arm on front end loader

Almost anything is repairable. Use to fix bent/broken excavator booms and loader booms. Not little stuff either, 3" thick loader arms bent at 90?. But, like Jon said, we'll need pictures to point you in the right direction.

Haven't done it with a log splitter but have used a bucket ram. Just be very careful, take your time, have a couple of component helpers, and think ahead a couple of steps at all times. That splitter point will bend the crap out of anything almost instantly so be carefull. Little tiny steps are required.

I can't imagine how you will straighten a loader boom arm in a splitter without having something like a piece of 3 foot long railroad track to place between the splitter wedge and the stationary foot. It might get close to correct, but If I was straightening it, I would cut out the kink on 3 sides and then weld in gussets to close the cutout.

Thanks

Only have to move it a few inches. No kinks

Will go slow and careful so it doesn't get loose

Cpower, the Love tractors are interesting tractors, I believe built pretty much the same as the Friday tractors, which were built here in MI. To get the most info on your tractor, start your own thread on the tractor talk forum, so more people will see it. Someone out there has the info on them, they just have to see what you're looking for in the title of your topic to get their attention.

Hi----Do you know where I could find info on a mid 40's Love orchard tractor. I just got it and want information. I was told to go to RBoots but the site was archived any help would be appreciated. Butch

Would performing heat shrinks on the bent portion of the arm work? being that it only needs to go an inch or so. Pictures would help. I have been able to straighten many things by heating the back side of the bend and then quenching with water to make the steel molecules pull together thus making the bend straight again while maintaining the harness of the steel.
