This stuff was seized and sold to settle debt, along with all of the farm buildings and property, about 800 acres. Because bills had not been paid, this stuff was very poorly maintained and beat pretty bad. Dad said it looked like most of the stuff hadn't had the oil changed in a long time, said the engine oil looked like grease in some of the stuff. I'm sure there may have been some deals, but it looks like the older stuff all brought pretty high prices for what it was.

I saw that in the Farm Trader but didn't go to the website and look at any of it. It was bigger stuff than I cared anything about.

Speaking of bills not being paid, did you see where Boersen just had another judgement against him for 19.5 million? Looks like ZFS is gonna have to dig a lot deeper if they want to bail him out.

I didn't see that, but it makes me wonder why they thought that was a good idea getting involved in that mess. Seems I had heard with this local on they stopped counting above 15 million debt, and were hoping to get 5 mil out of the equipment and land. Don't know how true it is, but that's what everyone says.

According to that story they sold some of the leased equipment and kept the money, I never knew that selling something that does not belong to you is contempt of court, I thought it was called stealing. I wonder if they will be scott free with a bankruptcy filing?

Wow, I usually try to watch the Sheridan auction, and generally the older little tractor's don't go for too much. Impressive...

That surprised me too. If I stole your $800 beater out of a parking lot, i'd go to jail. Maybe if you owe enough, or are related to the right folks, the rules are different....

Supposedly Zeeland Farm Services doled out 145 million or so to pay off their big loan that got called in,but the "little" millions just keep piling up on top of that.

wow...look at this loader bucket:
$132
