Ever watch any of these weekend warriors on their light utility tractor? Racing around with a full loader. Nothing on rear end, roll bar folded down, tires not loaded. One fella here locally liked to keep the bucket up over his head while driving. One time and one time only I suggested maybe put the roll bar up at least. Not well received.

DAVEH(MI)You have no idea what the man was doing.its just sad that he's dead whatever happened.I suppose this will be considered not well received too.

Well Ron, I don't know why you decided to take my comment as an attack on the poor soul who died...it was not. You are wrong and reading something into the comment that isn't there. Less than 100 posts on the forums and already you are telling people what to say and how to say it...

Dave H (MI) Dave I apologize I jumped at conclusions and after rereading what you said I have a better understanding of what you meant.Again I'm sorry for responding the way I did.Ron

I have always said that side slopes do not cause tractor roll-overs, chuck holes do. There can be all manner of hidden terrain changers that change the tilt of the tractor almost instantly. The tractor in this story could have been ballasted, yet when the downhill front tire dropped into a soft spot on the slope, the ballast was nowhere near enough. Only a properly used ROPs could have saved him. We need to be prepared for the unforeseeable, because that is what kills people.
