Bulk feed bin

I realize and confess to all the topic police this is OT, but what better place to seek information. I have a 4.12 ton PAX bulk feed bin, 6 ft diameter, 2 ring, 16 inch bottom opening, 60 degree funnel,. It has a 10 inch wide extension between the funnel and the poly transition box where the feed is discharged from the bin. Mine is rusted out, that is , the extension band. Do any of you know of a Pax dealer in your area? If so could you reply with a name, address, and/ or phone number?

Unless it is a Pax only dealer part you should be able to get parts from most any bin dealer. Most bin parts are pretty generic.

I've found bin parts to be horribly expensive - to the point of scrapping the bin and buying new. Last I checked, each panel in the cone for a 6' 6" bin is $165 (x4), and that was 7 years ago. If it's badly rusted, the rest of it is likely not great either, and it'll get your feed wet and spoiled. The leakier it is, the wetter the feed will get, the faster it will rust. Check for rust at the bottom of the sheet that connects to the cone. You won't see it until you're in the bin.

Having said that, you might try hogslat.com. I think they have parts for Pax. They're usually about the most competitive, and they also sell their own brand of bin.

KCAA ....... if you are familiar with Google, why not use it? Or maybe you prefer someone else to do the leg work and do it for you? Unless I'm reading your post and reply wrong, it seems a reasonable reply that many are giving you.

IS Pax still in business? We toured the factory in Coldwater Ohio in the late 1950's We toured New Idea in the morning and Pax in the afternoon as part of an FFA field trip.
