got it sv. the 200LE is an altenater welder with a bridge rectifier to convert ac to dc for weld output, the ac for tools is taken off before the rectifier in the weld circuit. pull the covers off, top, and both sides, blow all the dust dirt and grinding dust out of it. when you look down where the armature shaft comes out of the stator(windings) you will see 3 brass coloured slip rings with brushes riding on them, the brushes are small about 3/8" by 1/2" each one riding in a brush holder with a spring behind them. you will need a commutator stone to clean those slip rings, (DO NOT USE EMERY CLOTH) 1st make sure each brush is moving freely in its brush holder, then start the welder, put it on high idle (weld speed) and hold the comm stone against each slip ring until they are a shinny gold/brass colour. being carefull not to bridge the gap between slip rings with the stone. if you can't source a fine comm stone locally e mail me at [email protected] and I will get one in the mail to you. email me your address and phone#

Here is a discussion on the Miller website about the particular welder you have. some really good info.
they can also give you info on how and where to down load Manual for your welder. Click on Welding Discussion and to the bottom to the last discussion is AEAD-200LE not exciting to produce voltage. Ya need to register in order to post.
