Finally got some rain

It rained most of the night here in S. California. I was getting worried I may not have much mowing work this year. Too bad back East, people are getting too much rain. Hope none of you are in the flooded areas. Stan
 
We are way behind on rain in central CA. Only about 8" this year compared to over 40" last year at this time. Hoping for a March miracle. Good grass but no run off to fill ponds. We got 4" of snow a few days ago and 2" last night.
 
Maybe I can send you some. In my part of Texas. It has been rain and clouds for two months. We get one day of sunshine six days of clouds and rain. Some light rain some heavy.
 
We finally got rain in north central TX. Badly needed but much of the 3 inches was in the form of ice. lot of downed trees and power outages. I just completed the installation of a new generator and it ran for 16 hours.
 
Here in my part of Texas the ground is saturated. One local Farm to Market road was closed this morning due to water over it, it's an older road and bridge is lower than modern standards. It's been more rain & clouds than sunshine for weeks now, just can't go long enough to dry out any. I'm thinking it's going to be a hot dry summer.
 
We have had 7 1/2 inches over the last 4 days
and it is raining now. We are expecting 2 to 4 more inches.
