another crawler at work

This is me with our 420c winter wood getter. Not working really just posed. Bright sun with cold north wind off Lake Superior this afternoon.

I own a 420c straight blade and a 440c loader, the are just handy crawlers.

Approximately what part of the UP is your location.

Imagine the wind is cold off the lake, we went up to Copper Harbor a year ago last June in an attempt to flee the heat/humidity of Illinois. Wind was chilly off the lake then but felt good.

I have friends in Chatham and Eben Junction. One used to work for the road commission and has rebuilt some dozers that were pretty junky when he got them. That's Kenny! Another one owns a machine shop.

I'm in Cornell. 20 minutes north west of escanaba. See you guys still have a pretty good snow pack.

Thanks, I guess I needed some cheering up. My daughter is visiting for 2 days and was taking care of technical chores for me. Posed the tractor, got the shot and ran inside. Brrr. Darn all these diseases right to heck!!!!

What I miss the most about the 440 with loader we had was they can really lift and move a lot of weight for a small machine.

I have a 1010 CLB that will lift a full to the brim bucket of anything I can fit in it. Amazing the lifting power it has. I've rolled rocks as large as the machine with it.
