ROAD TRIP....!

A friend of mine organizes bus trips every year through their Ford Tractor Club. He has invited me to go along different times, and this year we were able to work it into our schedule. Heading off on Saturday morning to Gananoque in Eastern Ontario to visit George Tackaberry and his 11 sheds full of one of every International truck ever built and lots of IH tractors and equipment. Overnight in the town with dinner, then a 1000 island boat cruise Sunday morning to keep the ladies happy. Onto the Trenton Air Force museum Sunday aft. and home late Sunday. Will have lots of pictures to share, I hope!

My 1967 high school graduating class went to the Montreal Worlds fair, Niagara Falls, couple days in Detroit and the 1000 Island boat cruise that I forgot about. Have a nice trip!

I remember that place name. I was probably in the fifth grade, just brought into the [marching]band, when we went there and played/marched. We also spent a little time at the World's fair. Unfortunately the fair was overwhelming, and all lost on this kid. I was dragged around by an old librarian/chaperone, looking at whatever she wanted to see.

our tractor club visited Tackaberry's collection several years ago, when there were maybe 6 or 8 buildings. you would be hard pressed to find a nicer or more extensive collection anywhere.

Bruce, if you are going to post comments like that, you need to include an address. Some of us might want to send flowers to the funeral home!
