Henry Front End Loader?

Good morning All, I was wondering if anyone would have some information on this loader? As I understand, Henry is out of business and the company was "absorbed" by Allis-Chalmers, possibly in the 60's or 70's?

I'd like to fit it on a Case/DB 885. What info would I need to know about the loader & tractor to see if that is even possible?

I doubt you would be able to find any official info on whether or not that specific loader will "fit" on
your tractor. It would very unlikely be a bolt up application. You'll have to depend on someone else's
experience with the same combo (which I doubt will happen) or by your own basic measurements. As long as
the tractor is up to the loader structurally for strength and fits inside the loader opening, it will work.
BUT fitting it might need someone pretty handy with fabrication and welding skills.

I put an Oliver loader on my 880. The width was correct, but nothing else. Cutting, welding, drilling. It works great.

Custom fab...set the loader in place around the tractor, take measurements to make mounting brackets.

Thing is...I don't have the loader. I'm going to look @ it and take some measurements. Obviously, I'd need to measure the width of my tractor and width of the loader opening. Other than that, I'm not sure what I need to know measurement-wise. I'd like to know if it will work before forking the money over for it.

Had that same exact loader on my JD 420. Very heavy loader. Will probably take a lot of cutting and welding to fit on your 885. I have a Dunham Lehr on mine and it fits nicely. Quick attach so easy to take off.

Arlen,

what can you tell me about the loader? Would it lift a 1200lb round bale to stack? Are they easy to use? Responsive or cumbersome? I wouldn't want it on the tractor permenantly, are they difficult to mount/remove? Could this task be made easier during modification(s)?

I understand that it would take some cutting and welding to make it fit my 885, but w/ the price I've seen on other loaders ...I have much more sweat than I do dollars!!
