Another mouse nest

So, I posted about a mouse nest on the exhaust manifold of a new to me MF TO35. Well, I opened the clutch housing access panel and found
all this junk inside. Looks like wool or carpet. Came in thru the timing hole. Plug missing. Unbelievable. On another note, I put a new steering
lower thrust bearing in and tractor is now ready to work

You need to set more mouse traps baited with peanut butter! You need to adjust the trigger mechanism to a hair trigger. I adjust mine so that I need to set the trap down very carefully or it will trip.
If you have pets you need to be sure to place the traps where the pets can't get at them.
I also set my traps on a piece of news paper incase they bleed you don't have a mess on the floor.

Last year my relatively new clutch in my 1990 K1500 was not engaging or releasing quite right. Took it to our local transmission shop, he said mouse nest. It was so packed when they removed the transfer case and transmission, they could not get everything out of the inside of the clutch or get it to work. Ended up with new clutch and pressure plate. Insurance covered the whole bill under comprehensive.

(quoted from post at 13:47:29 10/27/18) I feed them all the mouse poison they can eat! The only thing I find is dead ones in my machine shed!

I occasionally find dead mice in the shed, but since I also feed the critters OUTSIDE, most of the mice die before they get into the shed.
