Handiest Thing Ever

OK, guys, here's the truth. I carry a cell phone, notebook, medicines, two pens, wallet full of cr**, nitroglycerine tablets, handkerchief, diabetic snacks, a protein drink, Leatherman tool, a few letters I meant to mail, notes what get at Walmart, list of chain saw parts I need, what to get at the Case-IHC shop, screwdrivers, etc. etc. etc. It is scattered all over the truck, rear and front pockets, shirt pocket, Carhart, etc. etc. Lots of it left forgetfully on my desk because of brain fade. I never have anything I need, wonder where in the world I left it THIS time?
My wife carries a purse, has all her cr** in one location. EVERYTHING in one location.
I noticed in the closet my old green Craftsman tool bag, the small version, about 8" wide by 14" long, heavy duty, carrying handle, strap over-the-shoulder, pockets everywhere, zip-top. HEAVY dity.
Yep, I loaded it down, I carry it now as a purse, handiest thing ever. Put a sandwich in there, carry EVERYTHING now on one location. No worries, my wife says it looks very manly, like I'm headed to the next job.
Go on ebay, there's lots of them, cheap.

I have had a "work" bag for years.
No I do not carry it everywhere I go like a purse but it is never far away.

I was always forgetting something.
Put everything in one bag now.

Has my GPS; different medications; a leatherman; important papers I must carry; extra pair of glasses; phone headset and charger; odds and ends like pens and markers; ect.
I know if I got this bag in my hand; my wallet; work phone; and keys in my pocket; I got what I need to go to work.

I also have a overnight bag that has everything I need to spend a night away from home as I sometimes travel with work.
Throw a set of cloths in and now with these 2 bags I can leave and be good for a couple of days away.

It's a murse. The hipsters in Austin with the man buns carry them. I'm just messing with you. What you have is the farmer briefcase and it is a smart reuse of something that would just be lying around otherwise.

My grandfather carried his chainsaw tools in one of my grandmother's old purses. We thought it was pretty funny when we were kids.

I know a few guys who carry murses. I have a phone and pocket knife in one pocket with my folding money. All the "want lists" and note pads are on the phone. When going out for the day I take my lunch in an insulated bag, and the meds are in a side pocket of that bag.

Any good black powder person knows about a Possibles Bag, I bought a nice shoulder bag from a local resale shop and left it in the elements for a couple months. I can carry my shooting stuff or my personal stuff or sometimes both.

I carry Carl?s lunch box from Duluth trading. The bottom holds several bottle of diet my dew the front pocket an extra multi tool and extra set of key for everything at work and at home. The top I have snacks glucose meter medicine utility knife Irwin multi nut driver crescent wrench flash light an extra torch tip tape measure and probably some other things I have forgot about. When farming it goes in the cab with me at work I toss it in the backhoe or whatever truck I?m driving that day. Keep it with me at all times. It is the most handy thing I own and I don?t go anywhere without it. I even toss it in my wife?s truck if we go out to dinner. I originally had the smaller lunch box but out grew it pretty quick. They are pretty expensive but if I think about if I paid for it daily over the last 10 years I?ve carried it it?s a small fraction of a penny per day. It is the one thing I will never do without

My solution is two choices. One fits my profession well, a backpack, and the other is what my Grandma would call a buut. (probably had Umlauts in it) and meant small pouch bag. It is 6X6X4" and has 2 zippered volumes. Leatherman, 6"adjustable, Contained hex wrenches, stubby phillips, stubby straight, an old school film can of tiny screws, and a lighter. I only carry the little one when working on stuff, and the pack when going/coming from/to the university. Jim

A briefcase, lunchbox, cash box, backpack, belly pack or fanny pack might all work depending on the person, but a small tool box/tool bag does work and look better.

LOL You guys are all ahead of the curve. There is a 'movement' called EDC, Every Day Carry. But most of them are millennials and they worry about what phone, $100 flashlight, and $150 pocket knife they carry.
