:? I'm having a really hard time finding a distributor or any parts for it.No one in the US that I've talked to has a clue.I believe that it is a 1960'ish,no numbers on the block,no readable words on dist.,only stamped numbers, and a 'Made in England'.On the top left of the tag is what looks to be a Mercedes trade mark.
Can ANYONE help me????

Three cylinder gas is a Perkins AG3.152, four cylinder gas is a Continental Z-145. This site sells a replacement distributor for the Continental, if you have the Perkins it might be a Lucas, or possibly a British Delco. Take pictures of the components and post here, somebody will recognize it.

I also have a MF 135 with a Perkings gas engine although I do not
Think it was made in England. I order a new cap Part number 1035263M1
Last month for Amazon company name RAPartsInc by google searching

I ordered a rotor also Amazon from. Agcon Supply very happy with both

I hope this helps

Correct me if I am wrong, but there were 2 different distributers in the 135 4 cylinder. I believe there is a serial number break. Different cam and gears won't mesh from one to the other. That may have something to do with 134 and 145, can't remember.

That's the strange thing about this one, it doesn't have a gear. It slides into a slot with a flat key.

Well, I could be wrong about the gear, may be a slot. Seems like I went to work on a guy's 135 they thought had a bad distributer. I had one from a junk and took it along. It would not fit in the hole. Now they were both gas continental 4 cylinders, but when I went home and looked up a parts interchange, it showed a serial number break with different cam and distributer. Been a while. Some of the Massey folks will know on their forum. I know they had a Lucas and a Delco, in what order I am not sure.

What engine? Is it the Continental four cylinder or the Perkins AG3.152? Be aware if Continental there's the Z134 and Z145 and those distributors will NOT interchange as there's nine teeth on the early Z134, and ten teeth on the Z145 distributor. Perkins gas in for repairs at the MF dealer I worked for all had Delco distributors with the two screw cap. Early Delco distributors all had two spring clips holding the cap.
My guess is you have the Perkins..

Early Delco caps had the spring clips too. Late Delco caps on three, four, and six cylinder distributors used two screws to hold them on, with a thin plastic dust cover over the points. Early Delco used an adapter plate to cover the points, and locate the cap correctly. Used to see both types on both MF and New Idea Uni Systems years ago. Also did see on occasion a Ferguson TE-20 with the "prince of darkness" electrical systems..

I don't remember. I have 2 or 3 of those distributers lying around, as well as a 50 and a 135 setting out back with engines still in them. The 50 has the 134, I believe the 135 does also but can't remember. I think the 135 came with both engines available or that may have been the serial break, or even had something to do with the deluxe model for some reason.

I remember a customer putting in a new short block in his MF 65 gas with the G176 Continental, the original spring clip cap Delco would not fit the new block, had to buy a Delco two screw cap for the MF 165 model as Continental made a block change at the distributor hole and hold down. Dealer I worked for only sold one late 165 with the Perkins AG4.212, but we did service a few state highway tractors with the Perkins three cylinder engine. The shop MF 2500 forklift had that engine also.

Some of the early 135's had the 134's, MF probably used what 134's they had left before putting the 145 in. The brand new replacement camshafts for all the Z engines usually require the 10 tooth distributor gear.

Thank you very much!!! Found ,ordered and on its way!
