Our family,30 or so, is at my sisters for Christmas this year. The requirement is a homemade gift for the exchange. I turned this rolling pin from some mahogany I have saved from old Kabuta shipping crates from the 1970?s. NEVER throw anything away. L0L

Gave a chunk of Eastern Hophornbeam (ironwood) to my wife's uncle and asked him to make me a club. I cut it from my woods as I have the last few years. I envision something like you made only heavier.

I the 70s we were getting so many of those KUBOTA crates , just could not keep them all. I folks that would come by the dealership and see the pile, oh I want those. They would haul a few then that would be the end. Burned a lot of that good hard mahogany from Japan.

I have a rolling pin from my wifes family. It's named and dated "Broughman 1856". One handle is broken off, wonder how that happened?
