Grand son is 12 years old. To get him interested in my tractors, I got him on my Allis Chalmers crawler. The grand daughter has a horse riding ring. I started the Grand son disking the weeds in the ring from all the rain. He didn't do too bad for the first time. A few more times he should do real good. At least I got him out of the house, and away from his phone. Stan

Way back when my step son was 5 I had him on the TD6 I had at the time. I showed him what lever did what and put it in first gear and jumped off and let him have at it. I did this out In the middle of an open field so no worries about any thing. He loved driving it around

I started plowing with an old oliver pull plow and a D-4 cat at about 11or 12 after grandpa died. I should get some pictures of the old plow. Has a ring and spring on the tongue to trip if it hits a big stone or something.

Nice story, most kids would love to learn to do that I think. Meanwhile, not sure who invented the iPhone (or whatever they are called these days) ..... but he hasn't done mankind any favors. Too bad it just couldn't have stayed as a cordless phone.

That?s pretty neat Stan I loved running grandpas little 420c use to pull a 4 section spike tooth harrow with it or a 14 foot international press drill I thought I was in hog heaven . Have you talked your brother into selling his half of that 5020 ?
