I hope you are safe somewhere.

We drove from Cedar Rapids to Ames last night on HW30, 4WD in packed snow most of the way, not going home tonight, road is iced over, and being closed. Many people from Minnesota did not make it today.

still waiting for a referral from my regular doctor to mayos so i can make the appointment up there. thanks for the heads up. i was hoping to get scheduled by now, dang doc is dragging his feet.

Tell Doc that SweetFeet said, "Git 'er done"! Seems doc would rush to get you referred.

Years ago, my sister and her husband lived out West... her husband suddenly very ill, losing weight VERY fast, heart palpitations and some other symptoms. He went to local doc, got referred to doc in a big city clinic out west. Nobody could figure out the problem.

Sister suggested they come back to MN to go to Mayo. They got the referral right away and traveled back here immediately.
Turned out he had extreme case of hyper-active thyroid. Mayo docs diagnosed it in very short order... they also told him if he'd waited only 2 or 3 days longer, he would have died from it.

Glad you are not traveling, last month has been nuts with weather, should let up someday.

try to get your doctor to move things along. wait times to get into mayo could vary from a few days to several weeks.
