Hubley 1/12 scale? Is that something that somebody did? I don't remember there being a gold one. Are there any markings identifying it as being a dealer display or anything? I had two of the red and gray ones as a kid and have one now.

It would depend on whether it is solid gold or painted gold. I suspect it is painted but a guy never knows. LOL

Their was one made in 1960 a 961 gold by Hubley customer award.Not many made good condition 150 to 200

To be a Gold Demo it first has to be a Select O Speed.

This is the Dealer Award Tractor. In the real world, the gold demonstrator was select-o-speed. In the toy world, these Dealer Award tractors had the stick shift.

I sold a very nice original about a year ago for $100. I would not pay more than $30 or so for that one. I have collected and bought and sold toy tractors for 40 years. The Hubley models were 1/12 scale and many collectors do not like them because they do not fit in well on display with 1/16. Keep in mind repaints or well played with originals do not bring much in todays market.
