You're showing remarkable restraint, Old. Having nothing to say doesn't seem to prevent many others from posting. LOL

But, thank goodness Old reads stuff here and if he has your phone number he will call you. I have received some great advice from his calls. But sometimes it's just chit chatting! Lol.

(quoted from post at 12:56:53 02/26/19) This time of the year I find brings out the bad ones so I don't waste my time to say much

Dammit, you've fought a hundred wars, farmed a thousand acres, and driven a million miles, and you're going to get butt hurt and play hard to get on a simple forum?

Disappointed.

Ron its comments like yours that destroy the intent of this and other forums, you may want to tone it down a bit

(quoted from post at 12:25:27 02/26/19) Haven't seen any thing to post on so I have not been posting

Old, nothing to post on? How about the posts about hot water heaters? Also I have seen a few where guys don't know what their tractor is.

No I don't think so. Old's a wealth of information and with all he's been through I don't see him backing down on a simple forum.

Maybe I'm a little rough on his lack of sense of humor but I read what he says every time I see him post.

You know anything about buildings?? Seriously. I am going to have a building built but stuck on how i want it built. Stick built with tin siding, Block, Poll Barn With Tin siding. Either a 30 x 40 or 40 x 40 . A budget of 25k Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Most of the building I have cost me less $$ then what I have inside them. Shop cost less then $300 to build but has $10K of tool in it. Hay barn cost about the same but has hay in it at say $40 per bale and holds 70 plus bales. All built from recycled stuff like mobile home I beam etc. E-mail is open

When they asked if Rich was still around, I thought they meant me! :D

Seriously, I agree that Old is very knowledgeable and I appreciate reading his posts. I tried his ATF treatment on a tractor this winter and was very pleased with how well it worked out.

Also, I agree--it's a water heater, not a hot water heater. If the water's already hot you don't need to heat it! That was a pet peeve of mine back when I used to draw blueprints for new houses.

Rich, I believe that you have recently turned 65, which makes you OFFICIALLY OLD, which means that your handle really fits now so you have all the more reason to post!

(quoted from post at 22:01:29 02/26/19) Well you have a poor way of saying you like my posts since your one of the reason I have not posted In the last 30 day

Old, I apologize if I've upset you. I've read most of your posts over the years and always kind of figured with being in your age range, (I'm pushing 66) and having similar life experiences that my sarcasm and apparently misguided attempts at humor and busting your chops would be taken in the vein they were intended.

I swear, from this post forward I will not reply in any smartazz way or with any attempt at busting your butt. No better yet, if you'll come back to the board as an active poster, I'll refrain from posting in any post you've initiated or are involved in.

I'm a thick skinned old fart that doesn't give a hoot in h3ll what anyone says about or to me unless they slander my wife or family. I tend to forget that different folks have different strokes and different levels of tolerance.

Sorry sir. I apologize.

Your ATF treatment sure helped me get the stump jumper off my big bush hog. I had beat on that thing for two days. When I applied, "the treatment" it just about fell off with a couple of taps. Thanks Rich.

Old Thanks for answering. Do you still have a website that I can contact you at? I recently acquired the 1938 Allis B that my dad sold right before he passed in 1983. I know I am going to need some parts for it and I respect your advice as how best to proceed. To get the tractor, I had to cut 2 trees out of the frame and axles. Thank you in advance. James in ok
