Went and looked at some used round balers 566 567 557
All were in decent shape, all of them had the insides worn off pretty well but idk if that has anything to do with buying a baler all of them had roughly 15-20 thousands bales threw them.
My question is that it seems like a lot, I looking for something that makes a decent tight bale I figured since the chambers are worn it wouldn’t make a decent tight bale am I wrong for this idea, or do they some sort of hydraulic ram tension that puts pressure on baler ?

I have a friend who works for a hay
company. I think she said they welded new
sidewalls in around 40,000, but their new
balers have bolt-in wear plates.

Worn sidewall in baler doesn't really affect tightness of bale because tightness is determined by hyd pressure. I traded my 1st JD 467(twine only) baler with 30,000 bales on it in '07 for a JD 467 to get netwrap that now has over 26,000 bales on it. IMHO there are more important parts than sidewalls of bale chamber that wear to be concerned about such as rollers, drive sprockets, pickup cams & chains. JD offers bolt in side sheets for their rd balers including the models you mentioned..

My balers average 40-50K through them before we think about trading them in. How they are taken care of is more important than the bale count.
