Picked up new batteries

For the 4020 today also new battery cables I swapped it over from 24 volt last fall but I just used the cables I had now I?ll have one cable from each battery going to the starter . I put the fenders back on last spring after I took the loader off to paint it up until now I?ve had mismatched car batteries on it I?m going to put the original battery boxes back on I was able to make the loader mounts fit with the fenders so I need to get the loader finished so I can Put it back on .

I put bomgarrs batteries on the 3020 I was going to get another set of them but got these instead
 
I had to replace four of those batteries last year. The 4010 and 2510 both quit. I also put new cables on the 2510. Going to start looking for a battery box as well. JD is just getting to proud of their boxes. I bought a cheapie and hate it though.
 
I don't want to be the bearer of discouragement, but I have had terrible service from those long batteries.

Used to have to maintain several forklifts that used them. It was the only size that would fit.

Constant battery problems, average life was around a year.

I don't know what the problem was. I do know I wasn't the only one, even the battery supplier hated selling them because he knew they would be back complaining. They would even come in DOA on the pallet.

That was several years ago, things may have changed. Just wanted to give you a heads up before getting too heavily invested in them.
 
I have had very good Luck with these batteries the first set of strong box I bought lasted 11 years the next set didn?t last quite as long because the tractor was still a 24 volt system and I let the cables get loose and fried the battery post that set went 5 years I Tried to build the post back up but I never could get it to work . For the price of the strong box John Deere batteries If these only last half as long they will still be cheaper
 
I bought some cheap boxes I think it?s worth it to buy the John Deere boxes if you want a decent part same thing I bought some cheap seat brackets and they must be painted soft lead but the price was good
