this is another truck Bob has in storage.

it has sat for 9 years ,its a Ford ranger

these are the best pictures I could get,it took me awhile to FREE it up that much,,lol

Its all there,,a 4 cyd automatic,,hast run in a long time

The rear shackle is rusted off,,that is why he stored it,he is going to fix it

He asked me to see what its worth...The scrap man will pick it up and give 325 cash

He is still trying to locate the bill of sale

He is still thinking about the old IH Truck

He asked me to help him,,he has paid 400 per month for 10 years on this storage unit..

please give us a ballparkprice,,I Will show him the post....thanks in advance...Larry

something wrong here! why didn't he make payments on a new truck and still be money ahead! 48,000 sure seams crazy for storage on a 1000.00 truck, don't even know what year it is.

hard to believe,,but true,,he paid 75 per month outside storage on the other Ih truck for 15 years,,best offer so far is 350 dollars from the scrap man,its all rusted out

You are a very good friend for trying to help him out. He really doesn't want to sell anything does he? Rusted out non running trucks are not worth much, unless you are the guy that gets paid the storage fee.

no,Im not charging him,,just trying to help him,,I Did help him empty one 10 by 10 unit of furniture and matresses,took most f it to the dumpster,,saves 119 a month,,and two junkers towed out of his driveway,,325 for one truck ,275 for a car,,he paid 400 to bring the Ih truck home to his driveway when I Wasnt looking,,,lol

He has more,,an izuzu pickup n a storage unit,,119 per month,,and another unit with a geo tracker and a mercedes benz,,600 a month for that unit,,all good stuff,,cant part with any of it.None of them run,or have ran for over 5 years,,some 15 years

Rusted off shackle means a rusted out frame in my area. Scrap offer of $325 is great. In my area, it wouldn't even bring that at the scales. Scale price in my area would be about $240.

Scrap cars $140 a ton, you drag it across the scales. I now 2 boys who buys junk vehicles, they pay less than scrap. They have to make it worth their time. They will remove any thing of value before they send it to the scrapper.

It doesn't take long for storage costs to exceed the value of what is stored. I store a John Deere A for a friend and keep it in running order. We worked out a trade for rent.

Not to doubt your story Larry but those storage charges for the truck that he is telling you PLUS other vehicles is hard to believe. A guy with that much money to throw around should care less what he's getting for the truck, I'm surprised he just doesn't give it away. Do you think those rental charges are on the level?

Well Larry, for sure he didn't negotiate very well with his vehicle storage. Maybe spent too much of his energy with coffee and donuts .... ha !!!
