Neighbor mowing hay

Just some pictures of my neighbor mowing hay today. He'll likely round bale and wrap it with an inline wrapper. Gorgeous weather today. 75, low humidity and a light breeze.

The hay is barely growing around here as the warm days are far and few in-between this spring.

We are mowing in NW Oregon today. High 70's today; supposed to be 90 by week end. This is two weeks earlier than I ever remember cutting hay and 10 degrees above normal for this time of year. Never would have guessed it and of course, I wasn't ready like I had planned. Oh well.

Couple places mowed ryegrass last week here in SE PA and wrap for silage. Couple more weeks and it will be time for dry hay. My fields are about knee high. Hard to tell how the weather will cooperate.

Still trying to plant corn . The guy planting is having a hard time reaching the ground to stick the seed in from the row boat while the other rows him around the field.
