I agree. Dad had a 50 until I was 11. That thing hated me, and I hated it. But there sure is something striking about that bright yellow and green. Maybe if he had it painted like that I would have liked it better? But even my cousin's 60, which he had painted like a 620, didn't shine like that.

I agree on the paint- I had a 420 painted like that, and it really looked so much better than the solid color 2 digits.

I never got along with the hand clutch JD's, but I was fine with the foot clutch 420. I think the problem was how close I came to running over SWMBO one time when she was helping me hook up an implement- I pushed when I should have pulled, finally figured it out to stop right where it needed to be. She thought I was a wizard, I was shaking.

You have it Randy. That is one of the collection that I sold in the Mecum Spring Auction a year ago. That little auger wagon was a real job to restore. The inside had to be done just like the outside so every bolt had to come out of it. They were made to primarily use to fill bulk automatic hog feeders. Farmers who had them thought you could drive alongside the combine and unload the bin on the go and these little auger wagons were the birth of the modern day grain carts.
I haven't been looking at this site for a few days and was surprised to see it. Thanks for noticing. The crops here look wonderful, some wheat is already cut and corn is from waist high to over your head tall. I should take some pictures and post them but I don't want to make anybody feel bad. The size of some of the dairy operations are mind boggling to say the least. I have no idea how many cows are milked but I have seen a semi back up to the parlor and load three times a day at one of the dairy setups near me and this is one of the smaller setups.
