Headed for Sigourney pull tomorrow. It was supposed to be in March but the frost was too deep so they rescheduled it with a NATPA pull for this weekend. First time out with a full trailer.---Tee

The 500 just fits

Went down and saw the sewing Amish lady Wednesday -I had her sew some hooks on both ends so when I winch it in they are tight when the door is closed with a 1/2 in.clearance.

It is a full trailer. Two ratchet straps go from the front ties to the belly bracket I made to meet the straps that go to the back.

Have my gauges in a old radio case. The Wife even made me some curtains!

There is about 2 inches between the Gator and the 500.

I don't know about those hold-downs. What size are the bolts? They look like the ones that our Fire Dept. gator pulled out of its trailer floor.

I drove front wheels on ramp then hooked winch on and pulled it the rest of the way-worked good-have remote control on my $60 HF winch.---Tee

(quoted from post at 09:10:52 06/28/19) I built sub-frame under hold-downs-7/16ths grade 8 go into steel.---Tee

I just do not see the steel strap being as strong as the nylon strap, hook, D-ring and the bolts.
The anchor is only as good as the strength of [u:17723a255b]one[/u:17723a255b] bolt (and the structure under the floor) and the amount of steel strap material between the side of the bolt nearest door to the outer edge of steel strap. Which ever is weaker.

I like it. Wish I had a enclosed trailer like that. And you uad a better one. Lol. How light can you pull. My D17 project is going slow, life keeps getting in the way. Just need the head and the pan. Then a few holes bored in the frame plus a gusset or 5. But I'll make it.
