Heres some more pictures from the recent Emporia,KS Oliver Meet-Tractor Show....There had to be 300 plus tractors there..I've had nearly 40 pictures on here but that doesn't even scratch the surface for what all was there..It was a fantastic show..

Show host Dale DeLong and his beautiful Oliver 1950 FWA..The DeLong family must have over 100 Olivers and Whites-etc....He spent many hours getting ready for the show which was held on his farm..Thanks Dale..

I don't believe Oliver ever made their own diesel, they used Detroit, Hercules, Perkins etc.

Most Olivers had a Oliver/Waukasha engine. It was a Waukesha built to Oliver specs. The blocks and heads were cast in Charles City, IA at the Oliver plant, sent to Waukesha, WI to be machined and assembled and sent back to Charles City to be installed. They had a very good reputation till they pressed the 310 cubic inch engine beyond it's capacity to hold together. There were update kits that made the motor reliable but the stock engine destroyed itself too often. Probably Oliver's demise.

Oliver used Waukeshas which were jointly designed to Oliver specs. Oliver poured all the castings and Waukesha did the machine work. Better than 75% of Oliver models were Waukesha tractors. The Super 99, 990, 995, 1900, and 1950 were the only Jimmy models. The 1850 was the only Perkins. The 2255 was the only Cat. And the Super 44 and 440 and 70 were the only Continentals. Everything else was an Oliver Waukesha. The crawlers are a whole different story but that all stems from Cletrac.

Well, we have a small show in Ryegate, Mt this Saturday,
mostly IHC collectors.
Third weekend in Aug is our Threshing Bee in Huntley, Mt,
about 15 miles east of Billings Mt. Sat and Sun
I believe I registered the Huntley show in the calendar here.
If you come ask for Jon in the machine ship.
