Parents fail to vaccinate their child for Tractor Fever.
Missing two-year-old boy is found by police after cruising on his toy tractor to the local fair two
blocks from his Minnesota home, reaching speeds of one mile an hour
Kenneth Allen's worried parents reported him missing in Rush City on Thursday
He was tracked down by police after making his way to the Chicago County Fair
Little Kenneth - who has had the toy for three months - drove it on the sidewalk
Police say they found him next to his favorite ride, the Tilt-a-Whirl
They posted about the incident on Facebook, saying Kenneth's dad 'promptly suspended his son's license by
removing the battery from it'

Sad that now days that is a problem. Back when I was growing up my parent did not know where I was a lot of the time but knew I was not getting into trouble

Me and my cousin were always walking the 5 miles between our 3 farms nobody ever knew where we were but we always made it home

Agree with you in general but this kid was only 2. A little on the young side to be out on the loose I think.

I think the boy lives about a block and a half from back entrance to fair grounds.

The boy wanted to go to the fair. Parents must have been too busy.

I'm only guessing, his parent may have taken him there in the past to drive around.

Boy had a battery powered tractor. If I remember it was a GREEN JD.

Come-on old, do you really expect anybody to believe that?

That is the truth believe it or not. I'd leave the house in the morning and be back for supper but between those times my parents did not know where I was most of the time.

Yep, that's the way it was back then.
I remember walking down the the street with a .22 /birdshot looking for birds to shoot.

Young fella, I roamed over a few miles too with my buds with my mother not knowing and not being concerned. However, I did get into a little trouble now and then and the hard part about your statement to believe is that you did not get into trouble, LOL.

Same here. There was an 18? stainless pipe flange hanging from a chain on the porch. Had about a half mile range when Mom went out and beat on it. Go wherever you want, but best show up quick at meal time.
