Harbor freight generator

Quite a few and other china made ones around me. Only draw back is if they die there throwaway as in no parts and shops don't want to work on them. Also they do not hold up to heavy loads quite like an Onan or Honda does.

I don't have any personal experience with them but the HF Predator engine is a copy of Honda. I've heard they are really good. I'd certainly consider it. Don't even think of using the 20% coupon. They are one of many things on the exemption list now.

My buddy gave me a HF 2800 watt generator with a good engine/bad generator.it was a busted capacitor:9 bucks and back in action.but I need something bigger for my hunting camp

have three two 8750s and one 3500 super Quit they get used a LOT and all are great . did have one stop working after 7 or 8 years . for 600.00 why in H would anyone think of getting it fixed you can buy 4 for the price of a Honda . did have a new out of box that did not work NO PROBLEM just took it back got a new one

I've got a 3750 surge, 3000 watt run from HF, had it now for 10 years, gets a lot of hard use, its got the 6-1/2 hp honda clone engine, keep the oil changed and fresh gas, never a problem.

There are Super Coupon's out there 10 % off ANY ITEM NO EXCLUSIONS.

I just cut one out of a magazine I doubt I will use it tho.

Way way back when HF was getting going they had 20% no limit coupons. Never
saved any of them. CRUD!!!! ON Ebay there were guys selling them and they went
pretty high at auction. Best thing I have found is the day before you go, type
into your smart phone "Harbor Freight Coupons" Any available discounts or
free stuff will pop up. Bought one item, got another half price a 20% coupon
and a free flashlite. Not too shabby. The whole purchase wasn't even up to half
the value. Grin. Just took a look. If you need a tourqe wrench or tie downs
today is your day.

I bought one of the 8750 W ones about 3 or 4 years ago for emergencies.

Started it, changed out oil to fully synthetic, ran gasoline out of it and winterized it. Not used it since.

IIRC, I paid $550 (with coupon) for it plus $25 for the wheel kit and a few bucks for the battery. I charge the battery every 5-6 weeks and it is still holding up.

Today 649.99 , 20% off a wheel kit on page 7 of this weeks Inventory Closeout catalog.

I have one of the 8750/7000 HF gens and a rv ready 4500/3650 watt Champion generator.

The Champion I use for short term outages and it has been great so far. It is also light enough to lift into the back of the truck to do things around the farm that need 115volts. I have not used the HF for any long time yet although it is thoroughly broken in.

I run stabil/ethanol free gas in both and turn the fuel off letting the carburetor bowl run dry. Both startup quickly after 6-10 month of sitting. I also use synthetic oil in both.
