Ah, the auto leveling systems.

My dad told me about that system on the 50s cadillac's, it would freeze up in the winter, car would come in jacked up in one direction because control valve froze.

Back in the 30's "the 3 P's" ..... Packard, Peerless and Pierce, three luxury cars that most people just dreamed about. Today you could drive almost any exotic luxury version of a car and nobody would even notice ..... they're a dime a dozen (almost) ..... times change for sure.

My grandfather had 2 Packards in the late 1940?s-early 1950s. The first one was used, he liked it so much he bought a new one a few years later. He said they were the best built car in that time and probably would have bought another one if they had stayed in business.

Sorry to disappoint, but the engine was only 352 cubic inches. There was also a 374 cubic inch engine that was introduced in later production. Didn't make it to 400 cubic inches.
