4020 engine block

Had a friend give me a 4020 engine block
Noticed on all the lower cylinder counter bores their is a chip
On every cylinder.
Wanted to ask if this is common casting or if I should use the block I have picture.

Maybe from some one driving the liners out with a big punch ?? If it's jast a chip on the lower area it is most likely okay...
