Thanks Jim,sounds like you've 'been there and done that'!Looks like I need to adjust the first bottom to take a little more cut.

That's nice!
We've had a mild winter here. Snow's about gone which is odd for us. But we're not out of the woods and could get hammered with some winter yet.
It's still another 6 weeks before we'll be doing any of that though.
My plow is a 101. Was a 3-16 but I dropped the center bottom and just pull 2.

I flipped mine and the neighbors this pass week end it went well tho it seamed odd the plow did not take a quick bite and when I got to the end of the row the plow lifted out of the ground quite a bit. I had to make adjustments as I plowed not many I blamed it on the ground being a little tacky.

When I parked the tractor it dawned on me I plowed in position control : (

Leave the plow alone. Make the adjustment to the tractor, widen the tread width of the tractor, slide both rear wheels out 3-4 inches, and widen the frt axle the same amount. Your tractor looks fairly narrow in the pictures.

Obviously your are proud of your work or wouldn't have gone to the trouble of sharing it with us. Thanks. Really nice field and I'd say a perfect job of rolling that soil. Nice when things turn out right for your efforts, isn't it. Wink!

Looks good. I also have a 666. Do what little plowing I do with a 656 and 4 14" IH 540. Always loved the smell of fresh turned soil. What are you going to be seeding that back to?

A flat square field? That's the thing dreams are made of. I'm not sure i would now how to plow that!

Wow, that looks nice! Soil is neatly turned and in nice, straight furrows. I may have to look for a 101 plow myself, but my old JD trip plow does a decent enough job. Wish I could get in the field, but we've had 10 days of measurable rainfall, and no end in sight. On a positive note, I've got every piece of machinery I own in tip-top shape!

Keep up the good work!

Mac

Dr.Evil, tractor spends most of its time on a bale wagon so needs to be set narrow. Also this plow has a width of cut adjustment.Basically plow can be adjusted side to side in relation to centerline of tractor.

Would not be doing that here in northwest Ohio as rivers are out of their banks. Still raining and more predicted.

That just looks like an excellent job of plowing. You would never pull that plow that fast in this black gumbo ground we have here in Nicollet Co. Mn.

Looks good. I could put you in some of my Missouri clay and see what happens. You wouldn't want to get off solid ground here in Northeast Mo, side by side barely gets around checking cows. Scott
