Good Morning,

Does anyone know where to get breakaway coupler replacement parts for a 1959 John Deere 830?

Any good hyd supply business such as Surplus Center or Bailey hyd's or maybe Tractor Supply. Do you have a local hyd hose repair business as that could be another option?

If you just need the female half, they are most likely Pioneer. They are available about anywhere. When all else fails, your Johndeere dealer.

JD showed NLA for both style breakaways for 2 cyl. 830

They used Pioneer-style tips that fit into a cast iron "holder" (14).

I don't know if a "barrel" (19) bought today will fit and function at all in the original holder (if originality is needed), if not it wouldn't be hard to adapt a Pioneer bracket that holds two "barrels" to the back of the 830. The hose fitting/tip/adapter (10) would have to be replaced by the older-style (3).

The other style of "barrel" (24) shown was used on 820's, etc..

Back in the early 70's, my late Uncle replaced the couplers and bracket on our 830 with the "couple under pressure" Areoquip couplers that Oliver used in those days. They worked very well.

The bracket with the couplers laid on the shelf in my shop 'til the building burned back in '83, too bad, as they were still "good".

Thank you. Very helpful! I need 4,10,11, and 19-23. Maybe I can make the guts of a new one work in 24 if I can find the entire coupler

These look remarkably similar. I think mine are 7/8th inch connection,. Maybe they have one that is that size.

I replaced the couplers on a 630 once and I assume the 630 couplers are the same as the 830 coupler. Like others said it is a Pioneer style. One thing you need to look for with a new replacement is the width of the sliding collar on the coupler. It takes a coupler with a fairly wide collar.
