Aftermarket John Deere hoods

Anybody ever try an aftermarket hood for a 4020

Link doesn't seem to work. I get a "disaalied" message. I have a 1020 that has a 1520 hood that is roughly an 1" shorter. I wondered why it never fit right but didn't know it wasn't a 1020 until it was stripped for repaint. I'd like a correct fit.

I think you have other sheet metal issues than your hood. I did a Deere parts search and all three cylinder Deere tractors use the same hood 820,830,1020,1520 and 1530 use AT19786 or AT19788. The 820-830 does not show up in a where used parts search but if you look them up that is the numbers. Tom

I agree with what you stated about both searches included 1520. AT19786 showed to fit on 21 models & AT19788 showed to fit on 32 models. My search also included 820 & 830 with 3 cyl engines. I wonder why your search excluded both Mannheim built models
