You know back when I was in the Navy it did not bother me one bit to go up to the crows nest on the JFK CVA67 carrier but the last time I tried to use a man lift I could not stand being up more then 10-15 feet. Seem old age and getting up high do not seem to go together

By the way the crows nest on the JFK was 250 feet above the water line and if you did happen to fall off and hit the water unless you hit it just right you where dead and we would do that even when the ship was doing 30 knots fixing antenna etc.

leroy, a kind of funny bucket truck story for you. about ten years ago i was trimming limbs along my neighbors field, they were in the way and would hit the combine. i told him id take care of it. we are good neighbors. was end of november, frost in the ground no snow yet. i was up in the bucket dropping limbs with the chain saw. had the truck shut odd and just running on batteries, which i did not know were kind of low. well, fully extended up the batteries died and the boom stopped. there i sat. left my cell phone in the pickup, and i always carry a rope i case i need to slide down. that was in the truck. though for quite a while and then figgered i could jump to the oak tree about 6 feet away, then climb down the tree. got to looking, not enough branches to climb down. good thing i checked. ended up taking my boots , coveralls and coat off, tossing them overboard and shinnied down the mast. learned to keep my phone and rope with me in the bucket!!

Funny story for us, but I bet not for you!

Do you have a link for the yard light?

I think the one our power company put in is 53W. I have some indoor/outdoor LED lights from Amazon. The lights are waterproof, but not the switch in the short cord. Cord could be replaced with wire, but we use these indoors. One is a 100W, and it - is - bright! I see they now have 150W lights as well.

Once installed, I hope you'll take a pic of them at night.

Thanks Glenn. $97 sounds like a good deal. Have been thinking of getting one for the back yard and haven't yet decided on one.

I spike climbed a 150 foot dead Ponderosa pine to top it, then limbed it down to the ground when I was 30. At 71, nope. I am glad you like the fixtures, they look good. Jim
