Mowed thistles

Got the McCormick back running and mowed thistles in the fence rows. I have been delinquent the last couple years and they have got out of control. I hope I have more time to to take care of things now.

Retirement is wonderful! I now have working brakes on every tractor! It only took 3 years. lol Remember to stop and smell the roses. Best wishes on the next phase of life. Chip

The beauty of retirement is; you eventually find out how much less you can do with more time. I was "he// on wheels the first 2 years. Spent the last 7 settling into a very nice routine that includes recliner time. I can still ramp it up when the boys have major projects, but the ramp up includes a lot more supervision than it used to.

Thistles take aggressive action! Last year I stepped up to a back pack sprayer. I have been fighting dandelions, thistles, poison ivy, bittersweet, and creeping charlie, in ascending order of stubbornness .

I agree with Showcrop. I like the nuclear option for thistles.
I spray the little devils with roundup.

I think I got it down now, took three years but I got it. Just look around every morning, see what needs to be done. Then ask "If I don't do it, what will happen?" Makes decisions easy.
