my first tractor was an Avery "A". The Hercules 4 ran great, but the "C" channel frame wallowed and flexed horribly over rough terrain. I think the grille and
hood on this one is actually off of a Cletrac "General GG", or a Montgomery Wards "Twin Row"- The Avery hoods I've dealt with were flat with no "speed lines"
stamped in them, and the grilles were a bulbous affair with a pinched waist below the grille's slats.
 
With $200 more put into it to box that frame, and make it look designed around the edges (like the fork, and operators "zone"), it would have made all
the difference for a less expensive. Farmall C, JD B, or Allis C. Jim
