I mow a field that has hundreds of golf balls laying around. They come from a house over looking a large field I mow. I can keep the blades low, because there are no rocks. My mower picks up the balls, they bounce around under my mower, a few shoot out the back. From the looks of his house he can afford to not to collect the balls. I enjoy this field mostly hills very little flat. Probably close to 20 acres. I am about finished my mowing jobs, so I spread out my time over three days on this job. Stan

A big field next to the local golf course is only a slice away from collecting a lot of balls, but the golfers were a sturdy fence away from being able to recover them. So the golf course owner's kids approached the landowner and asked if they could collect the balls. He was fine with that, so the kids collected the balls and then sold them to their dad, who striped them and made them range balls. Fine time had by all.

As a young teen probably averaged 300 balls per year from 1000 ft of field next to the golf course. A little bonus for the rake operator lol.Was also a decent swing with the baseball bat but towards a field only. The good old days 40 + years ago.

I found out a high jump made out of furniture; my head; and a sliding glass door; were not a good combination.
Luckily my parents were smart enough to have a glass door made out of small pieces of glass about 1.5 feet square.
Still have a scar millimeters from my temple.

Of all the fields I have mowed over the years, the number one thing I see is golf balls....even out in the middle of nowhere!

I have 1 hay field that I mow where ther owners son likes to drive balls in it. Mowing with the drum mower, it will throw the balls quite a ways and never in the same direction when it hits them. I've had several hit on the fender of the tractor. They wouldn't be worth picking up afterwards tho cause there is always a big slice in them

We used to hunt golf balls in the neighbors field next to the golf course. Sold them back to the golfers at the ninth hole. Manager came out and raised hell one time but we were not on the golf course property, owner told him to stuff it LOL.
