Welch plug update from yesterday

I figured if I was going to drill some holes in it I might as well try a slide hammer. Then I used the puller for pilot bearings and it popped right out. It was just too little and too deep to try a prybar, or screw driver. Any plugs I find at Napa Have to small shoulders on them I don’t think it’ll seal good so I’ll call the dealer.

Suit yourself, but a plug that small will seal fine with a 3/16 to 1/4” surface against the bore in the head using sealer as talked about in your first post. When the plugs are bigger and have more surface area being pushed against by the psi then it becomes a greater concern.
