Help with identifying year of tractor

I have been looking but I want to know if
I am on the right track. There are
several different sub models of the
Massey Harris 22. I am not sure but I
think I have the standard. I will include
a picture of the tag. I hope it is ok to
post this here. I may also post on the
Massey forum also. I don't want to make
anyone upset. (Sigh!)

Like others have said, you have a gas row-crop version of the 22. I have a model 20 from 1945 (see below) which is pretty much the same tractor but with 28" rear wheels and a fixed-width wide front axle. I believe that series started with Massey models 81 and then 82 earlier in the 40's.

I know it is rough sir. I got it cheap enough. I only paid $700 and it is running and everything works. Why do you want to be grouchy toward me. I have not done anything to you or anyone on here. Geesh!

here is my 1947 Massey 20. new 32" rear tires. a local fire company had it as a fundraiser, with no takers. the fire chief's wife said get it off my lawn, I'm sick of looking at it. Our vet told me about it, I made a fair offer and I owned it. I have no earthly use for it, but it is here.

Fenders on those old tractors are just a paint to get on and off. I've been driving tractors without fenders till dad bought an 830 case didn't know what fenders were. That was back in 68 or 69. Still no fenders on the H or MD.

I would not have a tractor without fenders and they are NO problem getting on or off, actually makes things easier as it gives you a place to hold on to.
