Would like to have one of those just to hear it run a silage
blower unloading corn silage. Nothing sounds like an LA
working hard. Wouldn't want to drive one in the field much tho
sitting down lose like that. They were quite a horse in their
day.

If I'm not mistaken, there was a time around the 1960's that some people repowered the LA with V8 truck engines for more HP before higher HP tractors came out.

Not sure if it's true, or even possible, but I recall reading a farm magazine article about it.

nice looking tractor, too bad they ruined it with the poorly applied, tacky looking clear back, printed stickers.

if you are going to go to the trouble of restoring a tractor, go all the way and have the lettering properly done. Don't use stickers like that, just.. ugh.. tacky looking.

Even cut vinyl would have been better than that is.

A kit was available to convert the tractor using a 3 - 71 Detroit or similar, more power and a bit less fuel.
