Thankyou for starting this.
Photos of old iron and using old iron is the heart beat of this website in my opinion
Thankyou

Most of the iron on the family farm is probably considered old. Lots of 6 volt stuff still earning their keep.

Yesterday I was getting equipment ready for filbert harvest. The cub cadet 147 in the photo was modified into a filbert sweeper when it was brand new and has covered many thousands of acres over the years. On rear of machine is single cylinder Wisconsin running a blower fan.

Ok heres a true story!Old Rusty here,,still runs,,its one of my brothers tractors. He leaves the post hole digger on it.
cvphoto56941.jpg

One of his friends is a landscaper,he was planting some shrubs. My brother said,,use old rusty to dig the holes...

This freind of his,is a really nice guy,,but,,all his stuff is brand new

When my brother drove old rusty next door to the job,,,his freind said,,,,,Im not even gonna sit on that thing,,,lol

But,,,,,,the Spainish fellow that was working for him,,ran to old rusty and hopped on.

Seems he was used to that IH Tractor whatever country he came from.

He was better at running it than anyone around,,,and liked it better than the new tractors!!!

Old rusty dug all the holes,,and all was well!!!,,that happened about two years ago,,but,,old rusty still runs!!!He hasnt moved for a while in this picture,,but ,,he still runs!!!!

Shiny paint makes the banker happy when he gets to foreclose and then re sell all that fancy equipment at a nice profit on both ends

No photo, sorry.
I had a White 30-2 which I sold back in 2005. It had a few minor issues, the PTO clutch would not disengage.
It had come from an equipment rental store and had a tough life there. I fixed a lot of things on it. It ran fine, but the clutch issue worried me as far as having others run it.
Last week I was heading to town and it was parked behind a new house in the development a mile from me. When I saw some one home this weekend I stopped and asked. They had gotten the PTO fixed and it was still running fine.
Nice to see it landed a good home.

How about a half rusty tractor belted to a 20" planer? Obviously taken from a short video. Tractor is partially painted because I had to change tires and fix rims. Also rear seals. Everything rusts quickly here in the northeast if you don't paint it.
