Big R- Stock field closing

I never heard of them. We have Fleet Farm here. The Mills family founded it in 1955. They sold out several years ago to some big investment firm out east, I believe. They've really gone downhill since. Everyone agrees. Problem is---Fleet Farm under Mills drove almost every other store out of business. So now we're left with one store in town that's mediocre at best.

A store selling strictly farm items can't make it most places these days, people complain about TSC and what they sell but they are financially solid.Personally
I think they are a great store more like what old general stores used to be have something for about everyone.Plus open 7 days a week.

FLEET FARM opened a huge one in CEDAR RAPIDS,IA and had a press release about another one in IA CITY just 30mi apart with millions of revenue expected when 2mi away was a very established store brand new then backed down as there was no way they could have made it work first the location was terrible

Didn't know there was one in MI. Was to a couple out west. The one in Billings maybe and possibly ID or KS don't remember was 30 years ago now.

They are closing the Stock & Field in Crawfordsville In. Shelves have been mostley empty for last couple years, was just a matter of time. They used to be Big R Stores. Never had a lot of tractor stuff, had about 12 mufflers, assorted ones and never a book. Never had oil filters for old tractors or any tractor for that matter, but they had Horse feed and bird seed. have to drive 20 miles to Tractor Supply or 25 to Rural King
