NHC 250 Cummins

I posted last fall about getting my old sawmill power unit running again. Can't find that old post. It was suggested I run some injector cleaner though it, and this spring I did just that. It runs really great, It only hunted on the governor about thirty seconds and then smoothed out and run nice. No smoke whatsoever. Only a little puff when coming off idle to say 1500 rpm.
Exhaust stack is dry. I worked over the PTO clutch, put a nice center outlet exhaust manifold, I had a piece of 4" Stainless Steel pipe I used as a stack.
I would like to eliminate the air compressor and move the PT fuel pump up to the auxiliary drive, anyone have knowledge of the couplings involved in removing the air compressor and driving the fuel pump direct? I would also like to find a different pulley for my water pump/fan drive. Mine has a big pulley for the water pump and two for the fan belts and one the same size as the fan that I used to drive a hydraulic pump for my sawmill system. I would like a pulley that has four pulleys the same size not one big and three smaller, That way my water pump would use the same size belt as the fan does. I could also fit a alternator mounted on the auxiliary drive that the air compressor won't allow right now. I would drive it off the spare water pump pulley. Who would have 855 Cummins parts of this vintage? I wish I could post a video of it running but I have not succeeded in posting video's.

Sounds good, now will you saw some logs for me? No, I'm sure I can find someone closer! We have a big white pine that broke off about 30
feet up, I think I can get 3 nice 100 inch bolts out of it, once it dries up. Got a few inches of rain at the tree farm, but that's good,
we're planting 1500 trees next month, and it was too dry.

Are you sure you dont post on another forum like Smokstak? I do not know if you are aware of the ..search function.. of
this site..but from Modern you click Search at the top. In your case I just did an author search. I sure dont see anything
that looks like a post by you about a Cummins engine or a saw mill. With only a little under 400 posts by you I would think
it would show up. As far as the Cummins question I would be surprised if Tractor Vet does not chime in with some info. I
thought he is always spouting off about how fast his Cummins equipped coal haulers were. As for the pulleys I wonder if
you could find a pulley with a smaller diameter to drive the water pump because Cummins must have made it that size so
the pump turned a certain speed. Later Cummins use a serpentine belt to drive the pump. I suppose scouring older heavy
equipment salvage yards will be the only way to find one, sounds like fun. I suppose a spammer could have posted off
your original post with something nasty and then it got poofed, not sure how all that works.
