Quad range vs powershift

I want someone or opinions when it comes to servicing and
are working on these transmission which one is easier to
service and troubleshoot. I know powershift is more user
friendly but Im asking about the service factor side of working
on them.

Both are pretty darned tough, but some folks can destroy an anvil with a rubber mallet.

Neither is particularly easy or "cheap" 'to repair if a major failure happens.

Care to give us any more details of what you are thinking?

A powershift is more complex then the two speed in a quad-range. So that can make it more difficult to troubleshoot. Also the valves in the shift control valve block are pretty complicated and operate with fairly close tolerances this can also be a problem. A quad range does have more gears and so it can match the needed travel speed for field conditions better.

The 8 speed powershift did have a lack of gear selection, but the 15 speed that came in the 50 series solved that problem. The Deere powershift is one of the most durable transmissions in mass production.
