Made a few small changes to my planter so today I tried it out for some fine tuning. Just above freezing, so the rest will wait for a warmer day. It almost looked like snow in

the air when I pulled out of the field.

Some may notice how nicely the SOCP lines up with the SOC muffler giving almost panoramic vision...lol!

Here's the view from Saturday night... the wind had switched to the east off lake michigan, and I went from AC to heat in about half an hour!

And here's today, with my cab and muffler aligned :)

No matter how I try, I cant get my muffler to line up like that, lol

May as well keep planting. Weather looks good for the next week, and that takes us to our traditional start of frost free growing season.
You have any of those money generators on your land ?

no, but kinda....
we had a lease option before construction began, but it was deemed that the accumulative noise from existing turbines plus the proposed ones would exceed 40 db at our house. as a landowner I had the option of overriding that condition and allow construction on my farm. however, we felt that if the science said that 600 m setback or 40 db was safe, then why bypass those limits. we do get some payment for keeping the lease option open but nowhere near the 20k plus per turbine currently paid to landowners.

You are not going to be stuck with 20 year old turbines at the end of the 20 year subsidized rate contract .
The turbine companies are a paper front that will disappear. Rather than pay out of pocket to tear the turbines down.
