I've got a Donahue but only one set of tandems. And only one outside rail. So mine is narrower and shorter. How long is that one? Mine is 28 ft.

When I sold my 856 Farmall, a guy came from 100 miles away, with a Ford F-250 4x4 pickup and a two axle Donahue trailer to get it.

He rolled the trailer off the axles and backed the tractor onto it. Then the pickup wouldn't pull the trailer back onto the axles, so I hooked my D19 Allis on to it and we got it back on the axles. Then his tires were almost flat, so I put 60 lbs of air in all of them.

He took off down the driveway and stopped at the end. I knew what happened. He ran one side of the trailer off the driveway and got hung up. I hopped onto the D19 and pulled the whole scheiss onto the road. He took off, having to go 100 miles against a 20-30 mph north wind. I often wondered if he made it, and how much gas he burned pulling that tractor with the cab in the air against that wind.

But, I had his check in my pocket so it was his ball game.

That is the big model, dont see them around here.

I have 2, a 8 foot regular, and a 9 foot double frame. The 9 foot wide is nice for round bales around the place.

SV, those Donohue trailers were made not far from me, at Durham, Kansas. I think they also made a nice trailer to haul the newer SP swathers. I ran a swather for my son a few years back and hauled that swather all over the area each summer cutting all kinds of stuff usually starting in the spring with alfalfa, then the cool season grasses like brome, then oats, later the native grass hay, into fall it was sorghum feed crops and in between, did some wheat straw and usually last was some occasional corn stalks. It took a while to master backing that hydrostatic drive swather on to the trailer. They were a good trailer.

I think Id put all new 14 ply tires the widest that will fit and maybe make a ramp so I could drive on so I wouldnt have to slide when I get it loaded

That's mainly what I use mine for. I don't let the trailer down to the ground, just unhook it and back the swather over the hitch up on the trailer.

I worked for a guy that had one of those for his 7000 planter. From what I saw I thought they were a pi,, poor program. The slide for the axles sucked and the holes in the hubs to make the wheels not roll would break out then wheels would still roll while trying to slide it with blocks under the wheels. I wouldn't give a pinch of for it. If you want a trailer just use the one you have and get a loader to load it when needed or just drive the tractor with it.

Model numbers are width and length, single rail or double rail. Looks like thy use metal planking now, gave up on wood for the new ones.
