Lower Alabama...... Picked up another cub. Cheap enough to make the 500 mile trip. Tree fell on it, bent steering wheel and steering column. Luckily we have a parts machine or 2. Motor turns over, but starter was pouring smoke. Hope to make it run today.

Homemade grill and dog legs. I will post a few close up pictures of that for Old.......
12 volt conversion, with 27.5 miles of wire!! Who does this?? Lol.
 
Probably be heading to LA later this summer if we can find a week when all the kids don't not have something. I am ready for some seafood and a sunburn.
 
Pretty minor damage for a tree falling on it.If it had been mine it would have broken it in half. LOL A good friend earlier this spring has his newly rebuilt/repainted Ford Jubilee badly damaged when a large branch fell on it.You did good!
 
My 47 Cub was a 12 volt conversion with about the same amount of wiring as yours when I got it. I left mine 12 volts but put on a 1 wire alternator. Works great. 12 volts spins a Cub like crazy. I'm looking at the steering shaft on you tractor - are you going to have some broken parts where it goes into the gear box?
 
I made 2 doglegs yesterday and now I need to fine tune them and drill a couple of bolt holes and then form the grill.

It doesn't look as bad as the Farmall A I got in a number of years ago that hit a tree. At least that cub is in one piece the A I got was in 5 plus pieces
 
IH was ahead of their time went they built those offset tractors with Culti-vision. We used to have a Cub tractor with cultivators at the farm. It sold at auction 12 years ago for $1,300 dollars.
 
ACC will no longer make me think Atlantic Coast Conference. Now I will use it to denote the Alabama Cub Collectors!
 
I thought you were getting a long way from home, when you mentioned trip to LA. In California when some mentions LA they mean

Los Angeles. Stan
