Happy 4th of July from Iowa

Hope everyone had a great 4th. The Mrs. And me took the 8n to Owens Iowa to the tractor parade. The towns population is around 300 and they had 98 tractors, 1 go cart and 1 side by side. Was a great day.

The parade started 25 years ago with just one family getting all of the old equipment out and it has grown since then. Initially it was just them and it grew since. They own all JD equipment and most of the parade is Deere, we brought up the rear in the little Ford. The parade route is every North and South street and people are lined up the whole way to see, the towns population increases 10 fold for the parade it seems.

You ain't kidding..... We have tried for 3 years to have a tractor show in our town, lucky I like hauling tractors, that way we at least have 12-15 tractors there. This spring we did have one other couple bring a Cub.

For Grandpa Love. I maybe told you about this before and if I did , sorry for the repeat. A couple of years ago they had
a Drive your Tractor to Church. It was not my church, but I was invited. I actually drove and met up with 3 others on
the way. I drove about 5 miles. Anyway after church we had a parade up to a fire house with a picnic ground. What a
picnic we had. And then on the drive home we had a few more that joined us. There was about 20 some tractors and even
some lawn mowers and a couple of side by sides and even a couple of antique trucks. Sorry if I repeated myself.
